Use it when
You want a quiet desktop board for a quick game, a harder AI match, or a visual post-game review that shows where the position turned.
Goban · Desktop Gomoku game
Play on a clean 15×15 board, challenge four AI levels, then review the full game through an evaluation curve and a list of decisive mistakes.
A look inside
The board keeps the current game, AI controls, move list, appearance, and SGF tools together in one desktop app.
Move-by-move review
Enable replay analysis and select any move from the record. The board reconstructs that position and explains decisive mistakes beside it.
Notebook theme
Switch from traditional stones to triangle and circle marks on ruled paper. The game state, winning line, and controls remain the same.
Fit and limits
You want a quiet desktop board for a quick game, a harder AI match, or a visual post-game review that shows where the position turned.
Desktop releases for macOS and Windows; no online matchmaking.
Gameplay, saves, analysis, and imported records run locally with no account required. Goban is a desktop board, not an online game service.
At the board
Choose easy, normal, hard, or extreme, then set your color and a fast, standard, or deep thinking budget.
Press H to reveal a suggested intersection. The hint never places the stone for you and remains available during review.
Open a full-game evaluation curve and a blunder list after a match. Select a point or mistake to jump directly to that move on the board.
Keep up to 30 named local saves, then resume the position you want instead of overwriting one global checkpoint.
Copy, export, import, paste, or drag in an SGF record; jump to any move and continue an unfinished game when you choose.
Toggle the sidebar and coordinates, undo or start over from the keyboard, and keep the move list and analysis within reach.
